Symposium "Universal Human Values and Education"

Organized by the ZHAW, the Gaden Phodrang Foundation of the Dalai Lama and the Tibet Institute Rikon.

The sustainability of our society is an important concern for the ZHAW Zurich University of Applied Sciences. The ZHAW fosters the development not only of professional, but also of personal, social, communicative and cooperative competence in its students. In a similar way, His Holiness the Dalai Lama cares strongly about dialogue with the sciences and about conveying basic human values. This is why, at the symposium “Universal Human Values and Education“, he will enter into discussion with students and employees of the ZHAW. Together, attendees will explore the questions of how society may achieve sustainability and how science can contribute to the intellectual and spiritual wellbeing of humanity.

Due to the limited amount of space available, attendance at the symposium is open only to students and employees of the ZHAW.
